Phase 1 of Well London took place across London in 20 London boroughs. Projects ran in small areas called lower super output areas, each with between 1500 and 2300 people. These were a standard size so they could be compared using our evaluation framework. All the areas were in the most deprived 11% in London.

The programme worked locally with co-host partners: local organisations that were already active in the area and had good relationships with local people and organisations like the council, primary care trust and voluntary groups.
